iPad mini versus Nexus 7

Tablet PCs are dominating the market more and more.

A recent survey in North American market shows that tablet PC will overtake notebook in the fourth quarter at first.

A media reported that this Black Friday and Holliday shopping seasons are leading to the growth of tablet PC market.

Google released Nexus 7 and Apple released iPad mini.

Many of people cannot make a decision about which product they buy.

So, I am going to explain information about two products and compare them.

Size

The whole of body of two products are not much different, but iPad mini (7.9 inches) is a little wider than Nexus 7 (7 inches). 

Thus, I think Nexus 7 is more convenient to hold.

Weight

Although iPad mini is wider than Nexus 7, the weight of iPad is lighter.

Display

The screen of Nexus 7 is narrower than iPad mini, but it has a high resolution.

Processor

Dual core and Quad core can’t be compared with each other…. Nexus 7 win!

Ram

iPad mini has only 512MB ram. Nexus 7’s ram is double.

Storage capacity

32GB model of Nexus has been released already.

Battery

The difference is very small, but I think iOS lasts longer than Android.

Network

iPad mini LTE model will be released soon. 

Nexus 7 3G model has been already released.

Camera

I’m sorry that there is no the rear camera in Nexus 7.

Apple’s App Store provides much more applications than Google Play Store, 

and many people probably think that the design of iPad mini is more beautiful.

However, despite the high performance, the price of Nexus 7 is far cheaper than iPad mini.

It is very difficult to say which one is better, so it all depends on your selection.
